·       Even though I acknowledge the referendum outcome, I certainly don’t respect it. How can I, given the hurt it has caused? -- Richard Hil

·       "You must have long range goals to keep you from being frustrated by short range failures." -- Charles C. Noble

·       May the talking and listening together at the Synod assist the Church to create a new spirit of consultation with the lay faithful in every  diocese and parish, freeing the Church from clericalism.
