The master sent out for some honest failures: “the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.”

Just a few thoughts

·         I was sad that at yesterday’s All Souls Day Mass there was no sign of any memorials of parishioners who had died during the past year. Those displays of photos, cards and prayer cards used to be a very touching and community bonding memorial.

·         I have read that at churches photos and little tea candles were blessed and displayed on altar rails.

·         Also the names of deceased parishioners have been listed on overhead projections.

·         Our Mass seemed to lack community bonding connection.

Bits & Pieces

v  The Melbourne Cup. We used to have a flutter, but no more. The brutal treatment of race horses put us right off.

J  Joke for Melbourne Cup:-

1 1 was a racehorse,
2 2 was 1 2,
1 1 1 1 race,
2 2 1 1 2

  1. I too missed being surrounded by photos of dear parishoners no longer with us. I always feel a close bond too. Hopefully next year??
