The plenary assembly has been a monument to grace and faith.

Just a few thoughts

·        For the Catholic Church in Australia: that the fruits of the Holy Spirit experienced in this First Assembly of the Plenary Council may deepen our faith, give us greater courage, and the ability to discern where the Holy Spirit is leading us.  --  Lord, hear us.

·        Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.  --  Dorothy Thompson
