Lord let your mercy be upon us, as we place our trust in you

Just a few thoughts

The point of the command is the acknowledgment of the priority of people and their needs over the satisfaction provided by the ownership of things.

·        For me some recent examples that illustrate this issue
The owner of Amazon spends millions  to give himself and his obscenely rich mates a ride in space for a thrill. Meanwhile Amazon employees are known to be working under unacceptable conditions

·        The dignity of humanity , health and safety are top priority. The economy, technology, medicine are tools to that end.

·        The needs of the community are more important than personal so-called rights and ego . To exercise so-called rights an individual can’t interfere with the rights and needs of others.

From the Plenary Council

T It has been a great eye opener to have lay and clerical people discussing together.

T Women’s voices are being heard
