Just a
few thoughts

Honesty
and transparency/openness are absolutely essential in democratic governance.
Without those factors there will be no trust. Let us pray for and insist on
honesty and transparency in governance so that the common good is always the
main focus of our leaders.

Yesterday
I posed the question, “Are we in Australia on a similar pathway?” This related
to the unbelievable events in USA and the involvement of Catholic leaders.
Today I was struck by 2 specific articles in the Australian main media. The
first article clearly illustrated the serious
problems we have within the membership of our federal government.
The second was an article in our local Murdoch outlet blaming social media for
all our problems, when that same Murdoch organisation persistently echoed and promoted
those same crazy opinions. The hypocrisy is astounding.
