Hello
Tranmere Community
We are all
watching carefully as the C-Virus developments are happening in Victoria, NSW
and now New Zealand.
In NSW some C-Virus hotspots have developed in churches. Often churches are
places where older and more vulnerable people come together. The message that
is loud and clear is this:
v
Do not attend church if you are feeling
perfectly healthy!
v
Always make sure you keep your distance and
since churches are enclosed spaces that makes it even more important.
v
Have you got a mask? Why not get one and try it
on, just so you know what it feels like when you actually need to use one!
Sursum
Corda!
It is the
feast day of St Maximilian Kolby – a modern
saint.
Having
replaced her troublesome knee Stephanie
has now had a good time celebrating another birthday. –Hip Hip!…

The Plenary
Council’s organising commission urges us all to study and reflect on the 6 themes that all Catholics had the
opportunity to add our voices to. The
feedback from all Catholics to the 6 themes have been summarised as Discernment
Papers. These
can be read or listened to here

The Plenary Council organisers have been preparing
the official strategic working document for the Plenary Council, Instrumentum laboris.
It is my understanding that for some reason this document is being kept secret
from all the Catholic people whose voices and opinions are supposed to have
created the information on which this document is based.
This has led to criticisms from a number of influential Catholic Lay People.
One of them has written an article just this week about this issue. Link
The strange thing is that this secret document has been prepared to be
palatable to the Vatican bureaucracy, which means that the most popular topics
mentioned by the majority of Catholics, as listed in a previous post in this
blog, will not appear in the Instrumentum
laboris. If that is true then the intent of the Plenary Council seems to
have been derailed. The voices of the Catholic laity will not be heard.

Parish Choir members are saying ‘Hello’.
