Suffering is not a punishment

Just a few thoughts

·        Christians are not called to merely notice and criticise the social, economic and political issues of the day, but they must “get their hands dirty” and commit themselves to action. -- Pope Francis

·        We pray for the human family, that by God’s grace the spirit of solidarity will lead the world out of sinful division and into a new era of mutual respect, generosity and gratitude.

·        May this anniversary of the Australian Racial Act remind us all of the obligation of justice – to respect all people in thought, word and action – especially as we discuss and then vote on the referendum concerning an Indigenous Vote to Parliament.
