Just a few thoughts

Christians are not called to merely notice and
criticise the social, economic and political issues of the day, but they must
“get their hands dirty” and commit themselves to action. -- Pope Francis

We pray for the human family, that by God’s
grace the spirit of solidarity will lead the world out of sinful division and
into a new era of mutual respect, generosity and gratitude.

May this anniversary of the Australian Racial
Act remind us all of the obligation of justice – to respect all people in
thought, word and action – especially as we discuss and then vote on the
referendum concerning an Indigenous Vote to Parliament.
