We pray for the First Nations peoples of
Australia and the Torres Strait, that NAIDOC week will help everyone appreciate
the role of elders in passing on their traditions and culture.

We pray that the Church in Australia will work
together to bring to reality the aspirations of the Uluru Statement of the
Heart, endorsed by the Australian Bishops in 2021 and the participants in the
Australian Catholic Plenary Council in 2022.
