Martha & Mary

Seeking the balance between our work and prayer

Greetings Tranmere community.
This story from Luke’s Gospel always causes plenty of discussion.
What if I put it this way?
Martha knew what she was doing – serving Jesus and the disciples – actions that were right.
Mary was listening, being contemplative, learning how to lead a life of service.
What do you think?

Bits & Pieces

J  We all know laughter is the best medicine, which is why we're prescribing a dose of these medical jokes.

Two psychiatrists passed each other in the street.
One said to the other, “You’re fine, how am I?”

J  These sentences have appeared in church bulletins or were announced at church services

At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be 'What Is Hell?'
Come early and listen to our choir practice.
