The Lord is with you

Just a few thoughts

·       Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience. -- Victoria Holt

·       When we face the difficulties of life we may rely, not on our own strength, but on the power, presence and inspiration of the Holy Spirit

·       We pray for peace in Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, and Israel: that God will turn darkness into light, pain into joy, and fear into justice and bring forth a new springtime of peace in every land

Reflections

Hearing comes before speaking

Just a few thoughts

·       "Being offended is a choice. The moment you let somebody else's words upset you, you've let somebody else defeat you. And who wants to lose a battle to an opinion?" – Anon

·       We all have problems. But it's not what happens to us, it's the choices we make after -- Elizabeth Smart

·       May people of integrity lead the nations in conflict to a time of peace, not by force, but by trust, dialogue and respect.

So many different facets!

Just a few thoughts

·       "We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly." -- Sam Keen

·       May Pope Francis’ constant plea for peace across the Holy Land be heard by all so that violence ends, aid flows to desperate people, hostages returned home and those unjustly imprisoned be set free.

·       We pray for ourselves in this last week of the Advent season, that we will heed Paul’s advice and be happy, pray constantly, and for all things give thanks to God

Listening to the essence of what Jesus left us.

Just a few thoughts

·       Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and focus on what could go right. – Anon

·       May Christians give sincere witness to following the way of Christ, and so grow with integrity.

·       Australia is our country. We accept that the majority of non-Indigenous voting Australians have rejected recognition in the Australian Constitution. We do not for one moment accept that this country is not ours. Always was. Always will be. It is the legitimacy of the non-Indigenous occupation in this country that requires recognition, not the other way around. Our sovereignty has never been ceded. -- Statement for our People and Country from First Nations leadership.

·       May we understand the wisdom of Jesus, who ate with sinners, calling them to a new life, who prayed and fasted alone, drawing closer to his Father.

If anyone has ears to hear…..

Just a few thoughts

·       May our Government, working with others, find new ways to enable people to live in freedom, especially those in refugee camps and detention centres, along with those on temporary visas, anxious about their future,

·       Let us pray for all who dedicate their lives ceaselessly to the work of justice and peace, that their passion for a new world will call us to a change of heart.
