We are called to consider what we can do and act on it.

Just a few thoughts

·       "The first recipe for happiness is: avoid too lengthy meditation on the past." -- Andre Maurois

·       May the commandment to love one another be engraved on the heart of every Christian and be reflected in their every thought, word and action.

·       We pray for emergency and essential service workers on duty through the summer holidays. May they keep themselves and the whole community safe.

Reflections

ü You yourselves give them something to eat!

ü May this new year of 2025 truly be a year of jubilee -when we forgive debts owed to us, and the hand of peace and reconciliation is held out to everyone.

ü The Eucharist - the bread fit to satisfy the deepest hunger of humanity—union with God.

The Signs Of The Times

Ø I note that in our parish bulletin there is a sort of mission statement for the parish community. There is no mention of the Jubilee Year 2025 plans. Hopefully there will be a parish action plan coming soon.

Ø Jesus has a different understanding of personal freedom
